Residents and Guests at Prospect Park Residence Enjoy Interactive Performance
BROOKLYN, N.Y., Aug. 13, 2010 – International singing duo Eranga and Prianga recently took to the stage at Prospect Park Residence, a senior living community located in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn. The husband-and-wife musical team, who are originally from Sri Lanka, performed songs from around the world in a variety of foreign languages. Their repertoire included folk music, popular songs and show tunes.
“The residents greatly enjoyed Eranga and Prianga’s performance,” said Director of Activities, Theresa Hines. “They were very impressed by their talent and ability to sing in so many different languages, and were honored to meet a local celebrity,” noting Prianga’s role in the recent “Fabulous Las Vegas” commercials for the New York Lottery.
After the concert, the duo met with residents and guests, discussing musical styles and the numerous places where they have performed. David Pomerantz, left, Executive Director at Prospect Park Residence and Theresa Hines, right, gather to thank Eranga and Prianga for their performance.
The concert was part of Prospect Park Residence’s music programs, which feature Sunday concerts offering everything from jazz to classical, folk and contemporary performances.
